G-nut Sauce
G-nut sauce is also eaten extensively in Uganda. It is eaten with matoke, posho, chapati, or basically anything. It is a pink-colored sauce made of ground nuts, similar to the peanut.
Ingredients
½ cup low-sodium vegetable broth
2 ½ Tbs. smooth peanut butter
2 tsp. tomato paste
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced (1 tsp.)
Directions
Combine broth, peanut butter, tomato paste, lemon juice and garlic in small pan, and simmer over low heat 1 to 2 minutes.
